[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Doosan Corporation transitioned to a three-person co-CEO system by newly appointing President Gwak Sang-cheol as CEO at the regular shareholders' meeting on the 30th.
On this day, Doosan Corporation announced that President Gwak, who is in charge of the business division as Chief Business Officer (CBO), was appointed as a co-CEO. Accordingly, Doosan Corporation will be operated under a three-person co-CEO system consisting of Park Jung-won, Chairman of Doosan Group and Chairman of the Board, Kim Min-chul, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Gwak Sang-cheol, Chief Business Officer (CBO).
The newly appointed CEO Gwak has accumulated over 40 years of experience in the machinery industry, including at Ssangyong Motor and Daedong Industrial, and joined Doosan Corporation in 2017 as head of the Industrial Vehicle BG. At the end of last year, he was appointed as the head of the business division overseeing Doosan Corporation's operations.
A Doosan official explained, "CEO Gwak will lead the growth and innovation of Doosan Corporation's own business based on his extensive experience, network, and professional expertise."
