[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) will operate the '2021 2nd Term Community Center Program' from April to the end of June.
This program is designed as an online course strictly adhering to quarantine rules in accordance with the COVID-19 social distancing situation.
On the 9th, the district collected residents' opinions on desired programs by each neighborhood, and after review by the residents' autonomy committee, finally selected 42 online course programs.
The selected programs are divided into four categories: ▲Sports ▲Culture ▲Language ▲Hobbies, and include a variety of courses such as daily yoga, line dance, cooking classes, English conversation, real estate auction classes, and computer education.
Depending on the characteristics of each course, the program will be conducted through ▲Zoom ▲Naver Band, providing real-time Q&A sessions between instructors and students for interactive communication.
For residents unfamiliar with online programs, each neighborhood community center will operate a support desk to assist with ▲online platform registration and installation ▲how to attend online classes.
Any local resident can apply by accessing the district office website (QR code access available) or visiting the respective neighborhood community center, with enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more details, inquiries can be made at each neighborhood community center.
Choi Hwan-bong, Head of the Autonomous Administration Division, said, “We have prepared customized online courses that can revitalize residents who are mentally and physically exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 communication gap. We hope many residents will participate in this program, which will serve as a cultural learning space and communication channel.”
