This program, conducted jointly by Professor Lee Dong-ryul of the Department of Physical Therapy and Suwan Health Center at Honam University's "SLC Blue Zone," aims to restore motor function by promoting normal development in children with disabilities. It includes "movement assessments" (motion analysis, gait analysis, etc.), "rehabilitation training" (gait training, robotic rehabilitation horseback riding training, upper limb strengthening training, etc.), and also provides "parent education" to enable continued training at home.
Professor Lee Dong-ryul stated, "Through this collaboration with Gwangsan-gu, we expect not only the university's role in the local community but also an expanded learning environment linking curricular and extracurricular activities through the volunteer participation of students from related departments."
Meanwhile, Honam University's SLC Blue Zone is also utilized as a practical space for the Elderly Health Management (convergence major) program created through the university specialization project, continuously providing health-related assessments and coaching programs for students, faculty, and local elderly residents.
