Gwangju City to Recruit Participants for Youth13 (Work+Life) Savings Account Starting from the 29th

Recruiting 490 Participants Until April 8... Supporting Youth Economic Independence

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 18th that it will recruit participants for the 6th term of the ‘Youth 13 (Work+Life) Account,’ which supports the economic independence and living stability of working youth, from the 29th of this month to the 8th of next month.

The Youth 13 (Work+Life) Account is a program where youth save 100,000 KRW monthly for 10 months while participating in financial capability enhancement programs, and the city supports them with 1,000,000 KRW, enabling a total savings of 2,000,000 KRW.

Since its implementation in 2018, over 1,600 youth have participated, and the program has a high satisfaction rate regarding savings management and step-by-step capability enhancement programs, with 96.4% (1,562 people) of selected participants completing the program.

The eligibility criteria are working youth aged 19 to 34 registered as residents in Gwangju as of the announcement date, with a pre-tax monthly income between 648,349 KRW and 1,822,480 KRW.

Applicants wishing to apply can submit the required documents through the Youth Financial Welfare Support Center website.

For participant selection, a public lottery will be held for all qualified applicants after document screening, and the lottery process will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel ‘GwangjuYouth13TV’ on the 12th of next month.
