Call for Proposals for Customized Jobs for 50+ Generation Linking Private and Public Resources
Discovering New Work Models Utilizing the Capabilities of the 50+ Generation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation is calling for job idea proposals from companies and organizations in need of 50+ talent to discover new job models suitable for the 50+ generation and to lead to the creation of practical jobs.
On the 15th, the foundation announced that it has opened a regular channel on the 50+ portal and is soliciting job idea proposals. Any company, institution, association, or organization in need of 50+ talent can participate. For the projects finally selected, the foundation plans to promote commercialization within the year through customized support necessary for 50+ suitable job projects.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will support the recruitment and selection process to find 50+ talent that meets market demand for projects requiring talent recruitment. For projects needing training, it will support education expenses and training venues so that 50+ talent can respond well to market demand. If activity linkage is necessary, it will connect market demand with 50+ talent and also provide support for certain activity expenses (wages).
Following the intensive call for proposals in the first half of the year, the foundation will conduct another intensive call in September and operate a separate channel for year-round free proposals. Proposals for 50+ suitable jobs can be submitted anytime throughout the year, not only during the regular call periods, and can be easily submitted online through the 50+ portal. This is not a one-time job idea contest but a plan to actively discover jobs considering employment conditions and to contribute to sustainable job creation by advancing and scaling them.
Kim Young-dae, CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, “This project was prepared to improve the quality and quantity of customized jobs by actively discovering job models that utilize the careers of the 50+ generation according to job demand,” adding, “Through continuous discovery and commercialization of job models, we aim to alleviate the labor shortage in the market and simultaneously expand social participation opportunities for the 50+ generation.”
