Shin Ae-ra "I Have One More Daughter" Reveals Handwritten Letter from Daughter

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Actress Shin Aera confessed, "I have another daughter."

On the morning of the 9th, Shin Aera posted on her Instagram, "I have one more daughter. Although not adopted, she always resides in my prayers. The beautiful daughter I first met when she was in elementary school has grown up so well as a college student that she makes me cry. Thank you, bless you, I love you, Jina♥," along with a letter written by her daughter.

The photo posted with the message showed a handwritten letter filled with carefully written words.

In the letter revealed by Shin Aera, her daughter Jina congratulated her mother (Shin Aera) on her birthday and expressed her feelings. She said, "There have been many things to be thankful for, but if I had to choose just one, it would be that you reached out to me first when I was insignificant and became a special mother to me."

She continued, "There are so many other things to be thankful for that I have always felt frustrated and sorry for not being able to express them all, using the excuse that I lacked courage," and added, "I should have expressed my gratitude even more, so why was it so hard to muster the courage to write a few words like this and why did I keep postponing it?"

She also mentioned receiving letters from her mother, holding hands with her mother, hugging her mother, and her mother combing her hair, saying, "After meeting Mom Aera, I experienced many things for the first time. Things that were everyday for others."

"I had lived thinking I would never be able to do such things in my lifetime, but after meeting Mom Shin Aera, I was able to try them too," she expressed her gratitude.

She added, "At some point, without realizing it, you became a mother I constantly want to see in my heart," and shared, "(For me) the word 'mother' was a taboo word that made me struggle to hold back tears just thinking about it, but after meeting my mother, I think of a special Shin Aera mother who is not someone I lack but someone unique to me," evoking deep emotions.

She continued, "You became such a special and precious person to me that I was cautious, so my proper expression of feelings was delayed," and added, "Thank you for making me a special daughter. I want to become a person like you, Mom."

In response, actor couple Jin Taehyun and Park Sieun, comedian Hong Hyunhee, Shim Jinhwa, and broadcaster Jang Youngran cheered, saying, "She is a beautiful daughter. I respect her," and netizens expressed support with comments like, "I felt the sincerity and was touched. It made me cry."
