[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Two pet dogs of U.S. President Joe Biden's family have left the White House just over a month after moving in. This is due to an incident where Major, the first rescue dog to become a 'First Dog,' bit a White House security officer.

On the 9th (local time), CNN reported, citing multiple sources, that "President Biden's dogs Major and Champ moved to their Delaware home last week." It is reported that they are currently staying with security personnel.

The current condition of the victim, known to be a White House security department official, has not been disclosed. However, CNN quoted sources saying, "Major's aggressive behavior was serious enough to cause both dogs to be sent back to Delaware."

Champ, a twelve-year-old German Shepherd, and Major, a two-year-old, entered the White House on January 24, just four days after President Biden's inauguration. The White House had previously released photos showing them running on the White House lawn or sitting with their tongues out in front of a figure presumed to be First Lady Jill Biden.

Major, the first rescue dog to enter the White House, was adopted by the Biden family in 2018. Champ has been a member of the Biden family since late 2008, before Biden became Vice President and moved into the Washington DC residence.

According to sources, Major has exhibited aggressive behavior several times. On the other hand, Champ's activity has somewhat slowed due to his old age. CNN reported, "We inquired with the White House about this matter but did not receive a response."
