Online Stress Tests for All Employees Also Offered
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education is launching a professional psychological counseling program to alleviate employees' stress and depression.
On the 9th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that starting this month, it will operate the "Ma-eum Ssok~ Todak Todak Counseling" program in collaboration with the Korea EAP Association.
Any local government employee affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education can receive counseling at a counseling center in their desired area, including face-to-face sessions as well as video, phone, and email consultations.
The counseling covers various areas such as job stress, workplace bullying, interpersonal relationships at work, child-rearing, and personal matters. Personal information and counseling content are strictly kept confidential.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education conducts an online stress test for all employees to analyze individual stress responses and job stress factors, and notifies each person individually. Quantitative test results such as gender and age will be used for organizational stress factor analysis, personnel system improvements, and organizational diagnosis.
Choi Woong-jang, Director of General Affairs at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "As the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has increased stress due to various administrative demands, public officials are experiencing emotional issues such as depression." He added, "We hope this counseling program will help strengthen mental and emotional resilience and increase recovery capacity, providing an opportunity to overcome stress and concerns."
