[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute (KFTC) announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with Eugene Investment & Securities to newly apply the Financial Authentication Service. With this, the Financial Authentication Service has been launched for the first time in the financial investment sector.
The Financial Authentication Service is a service that allows users to conduct financial transactions by entering a 6-digit number without installing a separate application (app) or program. It is stored in KFTC's cloud, so no separate storage device is required, and it eliminates the hassle of entering a complex password of more than 10 digits.
According to KFTC, from this day forward, Eugene Investment & Securities customers can use the Financial Authentication Service to log in, trade stocks, and check accounts through their own mobile trading service (MTS) called ‘Smart Champion’. Customers who have already issued a Financial Authentication Certificate do not need to issue a separate securities joint certificate.
On the 5th, the two organizations discussed these matters at Eugene Investment & Securities headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and agreed to mutually cooperate to promote the use of the Financial Authentication Service and enhance customer convenience. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Hak-su, President of KFTC, and Ko Kyung-mo, CEO of Eugene Investment & Securities, among others.
