HR Managers Visiting from 9th to 12th... Store Manager Recruitment Interviews

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Human Resources Development Service of Korea announced on the 8th that an HR executive from H Mart, the largest Korean-American supermarket in the U.S., is scheduled to conduct store manager recruitment interviews in Korea from the 9th to the 12th.

Im Jin-woong, the Texas store director participating as an interviewer, joined H Mart through the agency's overseas employment support. In addition to Director Im, H Mart has hired about 70 job seekers in the past five years in cooperation with the agency. H Mart operates 70 branches across 14 states in the U.S., employing approximately 5,000 people, making it the largest Korean-American supermarket in the country.

This recruitment is being conducted to hire mid-level managers for distribution and store management. According to the agency, interviews will be conducted with about 20 candidates. The number of hires has not yet been decided. Those hired are expected to start working from October under the H-1B professional employment visa. Cha Jae-moon, H Mart’s HR director (executive vice president), said, "In line with the company's rapid growth, we plan to hire professionals with experience in the Korean distribution industry and actively support them to build careers in the U.S., the birthplace of retail."

Meanwhile, besides H Mart, the agency recruits job seekers for various overseas companies through World Job Plus and supports online recruitment briefings. Through four domestic overseas employment centers, they offer Overseas Employment Academy (K-Learning), country- and job-specific specialized overseas employment programs (K-Class), career talks for employed individuals, and visiting overseas employment briefings. After selecting overseas employment training institutions last month, they are preparing new training courses.
