[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will distribute SNS Pabal-i emoticons on a first-come, first-served basis to 25,000 people starting at 2 p.m. on the 17th.

The usage period is 30 days.

The SNS Pabal-i emoticons were created to strengthen communication administration with residents through SNS activation in the non-face-to-face era, providing hope and comfort to residents who are depressed and struggling due to COVID-19.

SNS Pabal-i is a character that reinterprets Eunpyeong-gu’s symbolic Pabal-i in line with the latest trends.

The main color blue symbolizes the sky and water, representing hope for residents, while the yellow of the shoes symbolizes abundance, expressing the wish that every step residents take will be prosperous.

This character was created through the talent donation of Lee Jeong-hoon, a resident of Sinsa-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, combined with Eunpyeong-gu’s will to open the future of Eunpyeong together with its residents.

The 16 types of emoticons can be used by all generations, male and female, to empathize with each other and express various emotions in daily life.

The emoticons are distributed to new subscribers of Eunpyeong Notification Talk who can receive Eunpyeong Tomorrow News. By newly adding the ‘Eunpyeong Notification Talk’ channel on the KakaoTalk app on smartphones, they can be downloaded for free.
