Fire at LH Apartments in Waegwan, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk... 1 Resident Injured (Comprehensive)

The scene of the fire on the 11th floor of the LH Apartment in Waegwan-eup, Chilgok-gun, which occurred on the morning of the 7th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] At around 10:41 AM on the 7th, a fire broke out on the 11th floor of the LH Apartment in Waegwan-eup, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk, and was extinguished within 20 minutes.

Due to the fire, a woman in her 50s inhaled smoke and was transported to the hospital. The fire burned the entire interior of the apartment, causing property damage estimated at 9 million KRW (according to the fire department).

Upon receiving the report, the fire authorities deployed 60 firefighters, 20 fire trucks including ladder trucks, to extinguish the fire and safely evacuate the residents.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire by interviewing the residents, considering the heavily burned interior of the apartment.
