CJ Olive Young's First Ol Young Sale of the Year 'Vibrant'... Skincare Product Sales Up 52%

CJ Olive Young's First Ol Young Sale of the Year 'Vibrant'... Skincare Product Sales Up 52% Olive Young will hold its first Olive Young Sale of the year until the 8th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CJ Olive Young announced on the 7th that during the ongoing Olive Young Sale from the 2nd to the 8th, sales of basic skincare products increased by 52% compared to the previous year based on mid-term sales data. This is analyzed to reflect the recovery of consumer sentiment along with the outlook for recovery from COVID-19 due to vaccinations.

The keyword running through this Olive Young Sale is ‘Greenery.’ Derived from green, Greenery is a hopeful word encompassing not only the color but also fresh nature, vitality, growth, and new beginnings. Previously, in 2017, the color specialist company Pantone selected it as the Color of the Year.

Popular products ranking high in sales also align with the Greenery trend. Notably, products featuring core ingredients derived from green nature such as birch, green tangerine, houttuynia cordata, mugwort, and green tea showed remarkable sales. Among the top 30 basic skincare products, 43% corresponded to this category.

Olive Young is conducting its first Olive Young Sale of the year until the 8th, offering discounts on popular spring season products at nationwide stores and the official online mall. From representative spring season items like skincare and mask packs to products gaining attention as new trends such as clean beauty, men’s care, and premium brands, discounts of up to 70% are available.

An Olive Young official stated, “As interest in healthy skin care continues to be high, we expect the cosmetics market and consumption to revive this spring, centered on basic skincare products,” and added, “Through the Olive Young Sale held at the start of the season, customers can experience seasonal trends the fastest and at practical prices.”
