President Moon: "Violence Against Myanmar People Must Stop Immediately"

Posting about the Myanmar situation on SNS... Condemning violent suppression by Myanmar military and police, immediate release of Aung San Suu Kyi

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in stated on the morning of the 6th in a post on social networking service (SNS) that "the violence against the people of Myanmar must stop immediately."

President Moon emphasized, "There must be no more loss of life."

He condemned the violent suppression by the Myanmar military and police, and strongly urged the immediate release of detained figures, including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi. He earnestly hopes that democracy and peace will be restored as soon as possible.
