Plan to Strengthen Original Bibimmyun Image with 25% Increased Liquid Soup Usage

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon]Food company Paldo announced on the 5th that actor Jung Woo-sung has been selected as the brand model for ‘Paldo Bibimmyun (hereafter Bibimmyun)’.
This video portrays the character ‘confident in Bibimmyun even if not good at cooking’ through the national actor Jung Woo-sung. Jung Woo-sung, singing the national jingle song ‘Mix with your right hand, mix with your left hand’ and performing the Bibimmyun dance, evokes the ‘taste everyone knows’ from memory.
Paldo explained the selection background, saying, "Jung Woo-sung’s image, who has challenged various genres through thorough self-management, matched the identity of Bibimmyun, which has been loved for a long time through consistent quality innovation." Paldo adjusts the taste of Bibimmyun every year to suit consumer preferences.
Along with the advertisement, Paldo launched ‘Paldo Bibimmyun 8g+’. It is the fourth spring season limited edition prepared with a total of 12 million units to support the public exhausted by COVID-19.
The limited edition is characterized by the addition of 8g of liquid bibim sauce without a price increase. The existing 30g liquid sauce has increased by 25%. This reflects the results of an internal consumer survey showing that the 35-year tradition of spicy, sour, and sweet bibim sauce is the biggest reason for purchase.
The new advertisement featuring Jung Woo-sung will be released on TV and online on the 15th.
