Yongsan-gu to Hold '2022~2023 Academic Year College Admission Briefing' on April 8, 4-6 PM... Video Streamed on District Office YouTube Channel with Real-Time Q&A via Comments... '1:1 Customized Admission Counseling' on April 10
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) will hold the '2022-2023 Academic Year College Admission Information Session' on April 8th from 4 to 6 PM.
The session will be available through the district office's YouTube channel.
The lecturer is Jeong Je-won, a teacher at Sungui Girls' High School (EBS College Admission Information Session lead instructor). He will introduce everything about college admissions, including the latest admission process analysis and strategies. Any interested residents and students can watch the video for free.
Real-time Q&A will be available only on April 8th, and for students and parents who cannot watch live, the related video will be posted on YouTube until April 25th.
The district will send the lecture link and related materials only to those who apply in advance.
Applications can be made through the district's comprehensive education portal starting from 9 AM on March 8th.
Yongsan-gu will also conduct '1:1 Customized College Counseling' on April 10th from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
All high school students from 1st to 3rd grade can participate. For 1st and 2nd graders, counseling will cover designing school records tailored to their target schools and departments and strategies for successful admission. For 3rd graders, counseling will be based on school records and mock exam analysis.
The counseling will be provided by teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's College Admission Guidance Support Team, composed of experienced current teachers with extensive experience in school settings. Each session will last 40 minutes per person and will be conducted via the online video conferencing program Zoom.
High school students residing in the area or currently enrolled in high school who wish to participate can apply through the district's comprehensive education portal starting at 9 AM on March 8th. A total of 42 participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Yongsan-gu residents.
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We are operating various college admission planning programs to support local high school students and parents,” and added, “In the second half of the year, we will provide college counseling for 3rd-year students preparing for early admission, as well as guidance on writing self-introduction letters and interview preparation.”
