[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Korean Air announced on the 4th that six employees at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, tested positive for COVID-19.

None of the confirmed cases are flight attendants, and one is known to be a staff member of the Korean Air volleyball team office.

Korean Air plans to conduct a thorough investigation of employees working on the same floor as the confirmed cases and those whose movements overlapped, and will implement remote work for headquarters employees except for essential personnel.

Korean Air stated that disinfection and quarantine of the building were completed in the afternoon, and visits by outsiders are being restricted. Health authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation and are testing for COVID-19, focusing on close contacts.
