Boseong-gun Implements 'Collaboration Point System' to Eliminate Partitioned Administration through Cooperation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong County announced on the 4th that it will implement the ‘Collaboration Point System’ to remove invisible barriers within the organization and foster an organizational culture that enhances performance through collaboration among employees.

The Collaboration Point System was introduced to strengthen cooperation by awarding collaboration points when public officials assist each other or share knowledge, information, equipment, etc., while working with officials from other agencies or different departments within the same agency.

With the implementation of this Collaboration Point System, Boseong County expects to realize the ‘One Step Ahead Communication, Two Steps Faster Administration’ emphasized by County Governor Kim Cheol-woo since the beginning of his term, and to establish a culture of collaboration and proactive administration in line with the government’s policy focus on communication and cooperation.

The county has established operational regulations for the Collaboration Point System to activate the system and encourage employee participation. Specifically, it plans to lead innovation and change that all residents can experience by prioritizing △work sharing, △promotion of collaborative administration, and △public officials who excel in innovation.

Additionally, performance will be managed and outstanding employees will be selected and awarded prize money semiannually.

Kim Cheol-woo, Governor of Boseong County, stated, “We will strive to make proactive administration, interdepartmental collaboration, and cooperation among employees a daily practice so that residents can access administration and services more conveniently and comfortably.”

Meanwhile, Boseong County was recognized last year as an excellent institution in the ‘Local Government Government Innovation Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, an excellent institution in the ‘Local Government Proactive Administration Comprehensive Evaluation,’ and received an excellence award at the Jeonnam Province-hosted Proactive Administration Best Practices Competition.
