[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] A thank-you handwritten letter has once again arrived for the chicken restaurant owner who became famous after providing free chicken to a struggling brother and sister. The owner had previously gained attention for his good deed of offering free chicken several times to the siblings who wanted to eat chicken but were in difficult circumstances.

The letter was delivered on the 2nd by a netizen who introduced themselves as the student from the story. The writer recalled, "I am grateful to the owner, and thanks to him, I cried a lot after leaving the chicken restaurant that day."

They added, "It made me happy to know that there are such kind people in the world," and "That day, I saw my younger sibling smile for the first time in a long while. My grandmother was also happy to see my sibling smile."

The writer said, "I am currently maintaining my livelihood by working several part-time jobs and studying hard," and "I will definitely study hard to repay the owner’s kindness. I am truly thankful."

They also expressed gratitude to the netizens who sent warm interest and support. The writer wrote, "I have carefully read every single comment from you all," and "Thank you for showing me that the world is not entirely dark."

Regarding inquiries about sponsorship from those who heard the story, they said, "I am truly grateful to those who want to support us, but I will only accept your kind thoughts. Many people around us are already helping, so if there are others in need, please help them."

A, who lost his parents and lived with his grandmother and 7-year-old younger sibling, faced financial difficulties after being fired from a restaurant where he worked part-time due to COVID-19. During this time, A took his younger sibling, who wanted to eat chicken, and visited several chicken restaurants with the 5,000 won he had.

To these siblings, the chicken restaurant owner Mr. Park invited them into his store and served them chicken for free. Later, A’s younger sibling secretly visited Mr. Park’s store, and each time, Mr. Park gave them chicken. It is also known that Mr. Park took the younger sibling, who had long hair, to the hair salon he frequented and had their hair cut out of concern.

Earlier, on the 1st, the chicken restaurant had to suspend operations due to a flood of orders from netizens moved by the owner’s good deed.
