Ok Tae-hoon "Winter Tour Round 4 Victory"... "Next Target is Korean Tour" Ok Tae-hoon is holding the trophy and posing for a commemorative photo immediately after winning the 4th round of the Winter Tour.


[Asia Economy Kim Hyun-jun, Golf Specialist Reporter] Ok Tae-hoon (23, PNS Holdings) won the 4th round of the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Winter Tour (total prize money 40 million KRW).


In the final 2nd round held on the 3rd at Gunsan Golf Course, Jeonbuk, Kimje-Jeongeup Course (Par 70, 6,782 yards), he scored 6 under par to achieve a 2-stroke victory (10 under par 130). He scored 4 under par on the first day, and on this day, his impressive performance included six birdies. The winner's prize money is 8 million KRW. He cheered, saying, "The competition was fierce until the very end, so I couldn't relax my mind," and "I am grateful to the officials who held the tournament despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19."


Tae-hoon was active as a national representative reserve team member from 2013 to 2014, and entered the Korean Tour in 2018 after winning the 4th round of the Challenge (2nd division) Tour in 2017. After a poor first year losing his tour card, he revived by ranking 10th in the Qualifying Tournament (QT) and successfully made a smooth landing by ranking 64th in the prize money rankings in 2019. His best record to date is tied for 13th place at the DB Insurance Promy Open in April 2019. He added his determined ambition, saying, "I endured hellish winter training," and "My goal this year is to enter the top 5 in the Order of Merit points."
