"Incident Caused by Her Own Nervous State"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] A netizen who first posted a video of a female passenger eating a hamburger inside a high-speed train (KTX) in violation of COVID-19 quarantine rules has asked, "Please stop looking for her father now." The video, titled "Hamburger Jinsangnyeo" (Hamburger Trouble Woman), spread across online communities and social networking services (SNS), sparking public outrage.
The netizen who posted the video updated the post title on the 2nd to "KTX Hamburger Jinsangnyeo - Follow-up Post (No Need to Look for Her Father)" and said, "To get straight to the point, someone sent me a message, and I found out who the woman is."
They continued, "I confirmed through Instagram and even found her KakaoTalk ID, and after much consideration, I sent her a message this morning," explaining, "The conclusion is that she is presumed to be just an ordinary young woman from a typical family."
They added, "Her identity has been confirmed to the extent that no one is curious about who her father is anymore," emphasizing, "From the beginning, I was angry about such unreasonable behavior, but I never intended to do anything against her. I want to give her a chance to apologize."
The author described the woman in the video as "a young lady 15 years younger than me, and since the issue escalated after yesterday's news broadcast, she is scared herself," and said, "I requested a sincere apology within today. If not, I said I would file a complaint for defamation."
They added, "Fortunately, she expressed remorse for her actions that day and apologized again," and said, "She also apologized to other passengers on the train who were affected by her, adding that her behavior was caused by her nervous and sensitive state."
They concluded, "Now that this issue has become this big, she will be more careful," and emphasized, "I just hope she takes this opportunity to develop her character a bit more and live humbly."

Earlier, the author posted a video titled "KTX Jinsangnyeo" on the online community 'Bobaedream' on the 28th of last month.
According to the video and the author's explanation, a young woman who boarded the KTX at Dongdaegu Station took off her mask inside the train and was eating chocolate snacks when a passing crew member stopped her.
Afterward, the woman took off her mask again and ate a hamburger, which led to a protest from the author, who was in the same car.
In response, the woman reportedly said to the author, "What does it matter if I eat here or not?" and "Do you know who my father is? I won't let someone like you go unpunished," then took a photo of the author.
When the author again said, "Please follow the rules," the woman reportedly got angry, saying, "People who have nothing are full of anger and take it out on those who have."
She also called her parents and spoke loudly on the phone, saying things like, "Dad, it's me. Some XXX is saying something to me just because I ate some bread."
The post attracted attention from netizens, surpassing 230,000 views and receiving over 700 comments by the afternoon of the 2nd. Some netizens expressed their frustration in comments, asking, "Who is the woman's father?"
Meanwhile, violating quarantine rules such as not wearing a mask on the train results in a fine of 100,000 KRW, and refusing to comply with crew members' instructions to follow quarantine rules can lead to forced disembarkation and other measures.
