[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Choyoung] Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church once again unleashed harsh verbal attacks against President Moon Jae-in.
On the 1st, attending the 'Moon Jae-in Impeachment March 1st National Rally,' Pastor Jeon urged the impeachment of President Moon, calling him "an incorrigible scoundrel" and "beyond redemption."
Standing as a speaker, he directed insults at President Moon, saying, "He is an incorrigible scoundrel. Beyond redemption," "a crazy bastard," "child of a bad bastard," and "a worthless bastard," adding, "The entire nation must exercise the right to resist and quickly drag him out. Let's continue the nationwide resistance movement and finish it quickly."
He also criticized President Moon for mentioning Jo So-ang, a member of the Provisional Government's State Council, in his March 1st commemorative speech that morning, saying, "President Moon has never made a blunder in his speeches until now. He mentioned Jo So-ang in the March 1st speech. Who is Jo So-ang? A communist. I absolutely cannot forgive this man (President Moon). You (President Moon) should never give a speech again. Child of a bad bastard," using highly offensive language.
He continued, "At national events like March 1st or August 15th Liberation Day, when mentioning people's names, you should mention Rhee Syngman first," raising his voice, "Why do you deceive and try to brainwash the people?"
This is not the first time Pastor Jeon has hurled verbal abuse at President Moon. In an October rally last year, he made statements such as "Moon Jae-in is a spy attempting to communistize the Republic of Korea," and was reported on charges including defamation but was acquitted on December 30th last year.
At that time, the court ruled, "As the victim is a sitting president and a public figure, verification of political ideology of a public figure should be conducted more freely in the marketplace of ideas."
Meanwhile, the 'Moon Jae-in Arrest National Special Investigation Team,' led by Pastor Jeon and including lawyers Kang Yeon-jae and Ko Young-il, held a press conference in front of the Blue House fountain on the afternoon of the 1st, stating, "We will dismiss, immediately arrest, and detain Moon Jae-in," and "Today, we are exercising the people's right to resist."
