Jeonnam Western Region Child Protection Agency Holds Meeting to Improve Child Abuse Response System The Jeonnam Western Region Child Protection Agency (Director Im Gwangmuk) and Kim Won-i, Member of the National Assembly for Mokpo City from the Democratic Party of Korea, held a meeting in the office to discuss improvements to the child abuse response system.


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeonnam Western Region Child Protection Agency (Director Im Gwangmuk) announced on the 27th that it held a meeting on the 26th at the office of Kim Won-i, Democratic Party of Korea Member of the National Assembly for Mokpo City, to improve the child abuse response system.


At this meeting, time was spent discussing effective operation of the child abuse response system within the local community and ways to improve the child abuse response system in accordance with the amendments to the 'Child Welfare Act' and the 'Special Act on the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes, etc.'


Im Gwangmuk, Director of the Jeonnam Western Region Child Protection Agency, said, "In 2021, we will continue to strive to establish a child abuse response system in the Mokpo area, improve related systems, and strengthen the local community child protection system."


Kim Won-i, Democratic Party of Korea Member of the National Assembly for Mokpo City, stated, "We will do our best to ensure the successful establishment of the reformed child abuse response system, and will continue to take the lead in providing institutional support in the National Assembly."
