60s Resident Arrested for Beating Security Guard with Club... "Risk of Evidence Tampering and Flight"

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] A man in his 60s, suspected of calling an apartment security guard to his home in Nowon-gu, Seoul, and assaulting him with a club, was arrested on the 26th.

Judge Kim Yongchan of the Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Northern District Court issued an arrest warrant for the man in his 60s, identified as A, who is charged with special injury and assault, stating there is a risk of evidence destruction and flight.

A appeared for a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) at the Seoul Northern District Court from 10:30 a.m. that day. When reporters asked, "Do you have anything to say to the injured security guard?" and "What was the reason for the assault?" A did not respond.

A is accused of assaulting and injuring three security guards working in the apartment complex where he resides.
