'Silgam Generation' Focuses on Experience and Fun... Hotel Industry Collaborates

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The hotel industry is increasingly partnering with various fields such as IT and culture to create hotel stays filled with ‘things to see’ and ‘things to enjoy’. Targeting the ‘immersive generation’ that values experience and fun, hotels are decorating rooms with the latest electronic devices, offering cultural experience centers within the hotel, and even launching bathroom products named after the hotel.

Seoul Shilla Hotel is launching its first spring season package, the 'Experience Room with Samsung Electronics.' This product allows guests to try out high-end home appliances at the hotel before deciding whether to purchase them, while also enjoying a private room for relaxation. For this collaboration, three rooms have been transformed: two Corner Suites (68㎡) and one Premier Suite (84㎡). Four types of the latest home appliances?AirDresser, air purifier, Bespoke Cube refrigerator, and The Frame TV?are installed for convenient use during the stay.

The Experience Room with Samsung Electronics package includes one night in a Corner Suite or Premier Suite with access to the Experience Room, a 100,000 KRW food and beverage credit, one half bottle of Mo?t & Chandon Ros?, one Shilla Bear, and access for two to the gym and indoor swimming pool. The package is available from March 2 to April 30.

Walkerhill Hotel & Resort has secured the immersive media art exhibition ‘Bunker of Light.’ This is a strategy to strengthen differentiated cultural content with the upcoming ‘Bunker of Light’ at the existing Walkerhill Theater. The Walkerhill ‘Bunker of Light’ introduces a French immersive media art project where visitors are surrounded by dozens of beam projectors and speakers to enjoy masterpieces by art history masters accompanied by matching music. This is the second project in Korea, following the ‘Bunker of Light’ located in Jeju Island. It will be operated as the ‘Bunker of Light’ Seoul exhibition at Walkerhill Theater. The Walkerhill Bunker of Light is scheduled to open in December.

Jeju Hidden Cliff Hotel & Nature has partnered with LG Household & Health Care to jointly develop two types of premium lifestyle brand Method hand wash. Hidden Cliff Hotel is launching the ‘Spring Infinity with Method’ package, which includes these products. The scents are inspired by Hidden Cliff’s infinity pool and the sea beyond the horizon?‘Ocean Drift’?and the deep, pristine forest surrounding the hotel?‘Wildwood.’ The product packaging is also inspired by the Hidden Cliff Hotel’s logo design. Additionally, the package includes one night in a deluxe garden view room with a bathtub and a panoramic breakfast buffet for two. At the Chichi Lounge Caf?, two Americanos are offered as a welcome drink. The package also includes two ‘Full Moon Night in Music’ pool night passes for the swimming pool.
