Gyeongnam Office of Education Launches Meal Management for Private Kindergartens

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 26th, the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education conducted an online training session for about 240 private kindergarten meal managers in the province and distributed educational materials containing key hygiene management content related to overall meal service to each kindergarten.

This was prepared to guide the changing kindergarten meal policies and to establish a foundation for healthy and safe kindergarten meal operations by raising hygiene awareness and strengthening the capabilities of meal managers.

This training covered six areas: major amendments to school meal laws, the 2021 kindergarten meal policy direction, and basic compliance requirements for kindergartens including ▲kindergarten meal operation management ▲food poisoning prevention activities ▲strengthening nutrition management ▲quality control of food ingredients ▲management of meal facilities and equipment ▲transparent meal expense management.

The educational materials distributed to kindergartens included hygiene management content such as the five major hygiene rules for preventing food poisoning, and on-site guidance and consultation to strengthen hygiene and operation management of kindergarten meals will be conducted throughout the year.
