OK Scholarship Foundation Selects 33 Living Scholars Receiving Up to 2 Million Won Monthly

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] OK Financial Group’s OK Baejeong Scholarship Foundation announced on the 26th that it has selected 33 living expense scholarship recipients, each receiving up to 2 million KRW per month.

On the previous day, OK Financial Group held the certificate awarding ceremony for the 6th class of OK Living Expense Scholars at the main conference room located in Namdaemun-gu, Seoul. Choi Yoon, Chairman of OK Financial Group and the foundation’s chairman, also attended. However, to prevent COVID-19, the recipients participated remotely.

The OK Living Expense Scholarship program provides up to 2 million KRW monthly to support living expenses. It targets university and graduate students who have excellent academic performance but face financial difficulties. Since the first recruitment in 2018, a total of 250 students have been selected.

Chairman Choi Yoon emphasized, “The OK Baejeong Scholarship Foundation will continue to provide active support for scholars who dedicate themselves passionately despite difficult circumstances.”
