BNK Financial Appoints Popera Tenor Lim Hyung-joo as 'Social Contribution Ambassador'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] BNK Financial Group announced on the 26th that it has appointed world-renowned popera tenor Lim Hyeongju (Chair Professor of Vocal Music at Roma City University of Arts) as the 'BNK Social Contribution Ambassador.'

Marking the 10th anniversary of the founding of the financial holding company this year, BNK Financial Group has continuously carried out social contribution activities in various fields including local communities, culture and arts, mecena, sports, education, and environment through its representative affiliates such as Busan Bank, Gyeongnam Bank, and BNK Capital.

In particular, it is building a social contribution brand by discovering projects such as local job creation and startup ecosystem revitalization, eco-friendly social contribution projects including the creation of the Dongbaek Symbol Forest and fine dust reduction projects, and projects to expand the base of local culture and arts.

As part of its social contribution activities for neighborly love toward the underprivileged and regional development, BNK Financial Group has donated 23.5 billion KRW in 2017, 43.3 billion KRW in 2018, and 45.2 billion KRW in 2019, and plans to continue its donation activities in the future.
