[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] National team footballer Ki Sung-yueng (32) has directly denied allegations of sexual violence involving a junior during his elementary school years, stating, "The reported article content is unrelated to me. Such an incident never happened."
On the 25th, Ki Sung-yueng revealed this through his Instagram account, saying, "I don't think a long explanation is necessary."
He said, "We have decided to respond strongly by mobilizing all necessary resources for the suffering families," and added, "We will also take legal action against all those who maliciously commented on unverified matters."
Earlier, on the 24th, Lawyer Park Ji-hoon of the law firm Hyun stated, "Mr. C and Mr. D, former football players, were sexually assaulted by senior players A and B from January to June 2000 while playing for the football club at an elementary school in Jeonnam," and claimed, "The perpetrator A is a national team star player who recently joined a prestigious club in the metropolitan area, and B, who briefly played as a professional player, is currently working as an adjunct professor at a university in the Gwangju area."
After this information became known, Ki Sung-yueng was identified as perpetrator A.

Ki Sung-yueng's management company, C2 Global, immediately announced a strong response, stating "This is groundless," and Ki Sung-yueng also expressed his innocence through social media.
He said, "I thought there would be no problem since it is not true, but I realized this is a serious matter threatening not only my football career but also my family's life," and added, "I have come this far driven by my passion for football. I speak with my football career on the line. I will not stand by and will respond actively."
