Jinju-si Citizen Communication Committee Holds Subcommittee Activity Performance Presentation Jinju City Citizen Communication Committee, Subcommittee Activity Performance Presentation

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it held the ‘Citizen Communication Committee Subcommittee Activity Performance Presentation’ online for 120 citizen communication committee members and subcommittee members in the city hall cultural lecture room.

The presentation was conducted via a video conference using the non-face-to-face platform ZOOM due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

The event was organized to review and share the achievements of the 2nd term subcommittee members of the Citizen Communication Committee, whose term expires in March.

The event proceeded in the order of presentations of activity results by five subcommittees: Happy Citizens, Healthy Society, Economic Revitalization, Urban-Rural Development, and Jinju You Want to Visit, with participants sharing the presentation scenes broadcasted through Zoom.

The 2nd term subcommittee of the Citizen Communication Committee officially started activities on March 29 last year, and the five subcommittees held 19 meetings to discover 43 proposals.

Through feedback with related departments, it has served as a communication channel conveying various citizens’ thoughts and perspectives to the administration.

Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il, who delivered a greeting via video on the day, said, “I thank the communication committee members and subcommittee members who have put much thought and effort into serving as a communication channel,” and added, “We will listen more closely to the voices of citizens and work hard to vigorously leap forward as the central city of western Gyeongnam.”

Meanwhile, the city’s Citizen Communication Committee is publicly recruiting 3rd term subcommittee members until the 24th of this month to collect citizens’ opinions and enhance the efficiency of the committee’s activities.
