The Jungbu Police Station in Incheon announced on the 23rd that they have booked and are investigating A (31, male), a teacher at a middle school in Incheon, on charges of detention.
A is suspected of detaining a woman in her 20s, B, for about 30 minutes at a motel in Jung-gu, Incheon, at around 2:50 a.m. on the 21st.
It was confirmed that he contacted B through a chat app and then met her in person, heading to the motel.
Afterwards, when B tried to leave the room, A reportedly prevented her from doing so.
The police responded to B's report pleading "Please save me" and escorted A from the motel to the police station voluntarily. A is known to have denied the charges during the police investigation.
A is reported to be a teacher at a middle school in Incheon.
The police plan to summon A soon to investigate the exact facts of the crime. A police official stated, "After the investigation, we will decide whether to notify the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education to initiate an investigation."
