[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Choyoung] Delivery workers have come under public criticism after it was revealed that they gathered at an unmanned laundromat during delivery waiting times and held drinking parties.

On the 22nd, a photo showing a warning notice written by the owner of the unmanned laundromat targeting delivery workers who disrupted customer access by holding drinking parties in the store was posted on an online community.

According to the released photo, the laundromat owner stated, "I am informing you that an unpleasant incident occurred inside the business due to someone engaged in the delivery industry," and disclosed the damage.

He explained, "Since the laundromat operates unmanned, I was aware that recently delivery workers were using it during delivery waiting times, and I tolerated and accommodated this. However, this consideration was abused as a number of delivery workers gathered, brought in food and held drinking parties, causing customers who came to do laundry to be unable to enter," he said.

He added, "The police were reported once, warnings were given, and the group was asked to leave," and "no legal action was taken." However, he emphasized, "If delivery workers enter or drink alcohol and interfere with laundromat users in the future, they will face criminal charges such as obstruction of business," and "Please refrain from using the premises without permission for anything other than laundry services."

As this fact became known, netizens criticized the delivery workers' behavior with comments such as, "Why do they do that at someone else's business? Would you like it if someone climbed on or touched your delivery motorcycle?" and "This is why delivery workers get bad reputations."

Meanwhile, recently, controversies have arisen over some delivery workers exposing parts of their bodies in elevators or verbally and physically abusing customers, leading to calls for delivery platforms to implement management measures for delivery workers.
