Health Functional Fermented Milk Made with Next-Generation Probiotic Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Namyang Dairy Products announced on the 19th that it has launched its first health functional food ‘Postbiotics Inner Care’ in three varieties.
Called the 4th generation probiotics, 'postbiotics' are beneficial substances produced by probiotics that help maintain human gut health.
This product was developed by Namyang Dairy Products, a leading domestic dairy company, through three years of joint research with the pharmaceutical company Green Cross Wellbeing. While diversifying its business portfolio and planning next-generation products that align with consumer trends, Namyang Dairy Products prepared a new health functional fermented milk product inspired by active research on ‘postbiotics’ in advanced dairy countries such as Europe and the United States.
The newly introduced products come in three types: ‘Liver Protect’, ‘Gut Protect’, and ‘Stomach Protect’. All three products are ‘dual-formula’ products consisting of two pills containing ingredients recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for health functionality and a fermented milk-type liquid.
The ‘Liver Protect’ product contains milk thistle extract and Rhodiola rosea extract, which is recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for improving stress and fatigue, the root causes of many modern illnesses.
The ‘Stomach Protect’ product applies ‘GreenCera-F (Lonicera japonica flower bud extract)’, developed by Green Cross Wellbeing and approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as a health functional food ingredient.
The ‘Gut Protect’ product contains patented probiotics isolated from a domestic longevity village, designed to conveniently provide over 10 billion CFU of probiotics per bottle. The price ranges from 7,980 to 8,980 KRW for a pack of four.
