DB Insurance Operates 'DB Challengers' to Support Employee Self-Development DB Insurance announced on the 16th that it will operate the 'DB Challengers Program' to support self-development for its employees.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] DB Insurance announced on the 16th that it will operate the 'DB Challengers Program' to support self-development for its employees.

For this program, it partnered with the non-face-to-face self-development platform application 'Challengers.' Employees set a period of 2 to 3 weeks each month to certify the achievement conditions of 5 to 6 challenges via mobile and carry them out.

Participants can choose between a fund-type and a self-development time granting type. In the fund-type, employees apply by paying a participation fee of 10,000 KRW, and the company supports an additional 10,000 KRW; upon achieving the goals, extra prizes are awarded. In the self-development time granting type, the company grants recognized learning or volunteer hours upon goal achievement.

The challenge topics include climbing 10 flights of stairs, practicing proper recycling, losing 1 kg per week, giving oneself compliments twice a day, reading economic articles, and reading books to children. In the future, the program plans to expand to health management such as exercise and lifestyle habits, as well as emotional management, family, and social contribution activities.

A DB Insurance official said, "We will continuously strive to meet employees' expectations and establish a work-life balance corporate culture through this new program with diversity."
