[Asia Economy Reporter Nahana] Na Kyung-won, a former member of the People Power Party and a preliminary candidate for Seoul mayor, gained great response last month after appearing on a variety show where she revealed her bare face and daily life. Meanwhile, her daily vlog titled '1 Minute 30 Seconds of NA After Washing Face,' created to communicate with voters, is also becoming a hot topic.

In the YouTube video, Na is seen washing her face after finishing her workday and casually chatting with voters with a bare face. She explained, "The title was recommended by someone who was impressed by my 'scrubbing face wash' that appeared on Wife's Taste."

Recently, through the YouTube video, Na said, "What did I think about during the day? How can I win the hearts of voters?" and added, "Whether it's an election or anything else, winning someone's heart is really difficult."

In particular, Na opened up about her inner thoughts in the video. She said, "I once participated in a protest. I asked my aide to buy me some socks, but he gave me socks that his mother bought for 500 won. There was a cute character cartoon on them, so I wore them without much thought, but those character socks turned out to be from a Japanese cartoon, which led to accusations of pro-Japanese sympathies." She added, "People nitpick everything, and this is how I've been living."

Na, a four-term lawmaker and the first female floor leader of a conservative party, who has been the focus of intense attacks from the opposing camp, is increasing her favorability by communicating with voters through revealing her daily life, including her variety show appearances.

The preliminary candidate Na emphasized on Facebook, "At first, my husband, who used to nag a lot, now helps me a lot by my side," and said, "I started this because I want to get closer and more comfortable with you all. If we can talk and empathize like this directly, I think the election campaign will be happier and more enjoyable."
