[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is recruiting tenant companies for the Social Economy Support Center, which is scheduled to open in April, from February 22 to March 4.

The Social Economy Support Center, located at 5 Samyang-ro 47-gil, is a regional hub that promotes the startup and growth of social economy enterprises. The building has one basement floor and four above-ground floors, with a total area of 664㎡, consisting of offices, intermediate support organization operation offices, meeting rooms, lecture rooms, and shared spaces.

The eligible tenants are social economy enterprises located in Gangbuk-gu or those who can relocate their main business site to Gangbuk-gu within three months after moving in, as well as solo preliminary and early-stage entrepreneurs.

The district plans to select six companies and four solo entrepreneurs.

The district will lease offices of 19.54㎡ in area and individual seats to tenants at affordable prices.

The rent will be calculated by applying the lease rate according to the ‘Gangbuk-gu District-Owned Property and Goods Management Ordinance,’ and taxes and public charges will be imposed proportionally to the area.

The lease period is two years from the move-in date and can be extended once through a review.

Companies or solo entrepreneurs wishing to move in can visit the Gangbuk-gu Office’s Village Cooperation Division with the application form and required documents to apply in person.

For submitted documents and other detailed information, please refer to the ‘News’ or announcement board on the Gangbuk-gu Office website.

The district will conduct document screening as the first step, followed by an in-person interview on March 19. The final tenant companies will be announced in April, and the results will be individually notified to the selected applicants.

Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “Social enterprise founders will be able to find a breakthrough in the economic downturn and strengthen their foundation through the Social Economy Support Center,” adding, “We will continue to prepare various support measures so that they can grow stably.”
