Collaborated with Jokoding to Conduct Online Education 'Shinhan Ssok'... Over 13,000 Employees Completed
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank's digital training has become the talk of the town. This is due to breaking away from the traditional boring lecture methods and pursuing a differentiated strategy through collaboration with a famous YouTuber.
According to Shinhan Bank on the 11th, there has been high interest among employees in the recent digital training program conducted with the popular YouTuber Jokoding.
Jokoding is a YouTuber who creates content about why one should study coding. Since uploading his first video in February 2019, he currently has 236,000 subscribers.
This training was designed as a coding course that forms the foundation for execution along with the digital new technologies 'ABCD (AI, Blockchain, Cloud, big Data)'.
Through collaboration with Jokoding, the program was conducted on the online education platform 'Shinhan SOK', and about 13,000 employees have completed the course.
Employees learned about the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology trends and directly experienced cutting-edge AI technologies through introductions to Google's Teachable Machine and OpenAI's GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3).
Additionally, blockchain was broadly introduced, including its basic concepts and blockchain cases promoted by Shinhan Bank. An in-house expert from Shinhan Bank gave lectures to increase empathy and help employees become more familiar with blockchain technology.
Regarding big data, in the era of open banking and MyData, employees were able to learn data analysis procedures, visualization methods, and basic knowledge necessary for data analysis. The program also introduced ways to utilize cloud technology to enable practical application.
A Shinhan Bank official stated, "Shinhan Bank has established a four-stage digital training system and is conducting customized education by level to nurture digital talents," adding, "This year, we will expand the curriculum to support the development of digital capabilities."
