The first planned exhibition of the year at Suwon City Museum of Art, 'A New Way of Living for □'.
The Suwon Museum of Art also opened its first planned exhibition of the year, titled "□ A New Way of Living," starting the day before and running until June 20 at the Suwon I-Park Museum of Art. The exhibition focuses on the way objects are created and transformed in ways suitable for life in the current era, highlighting how objects live anew amid large and small changes. It aims to provide a space to expand recognition and thinking about objects by examining the characteristics of "objects" in modern society centered on their relationship with "humans," discovering new perspectives on the intersection of daily life and art. It also seeks to experience a new system of objects that are familiar or transformed into unfamiliar forms, containing various traces connected to human life in this era. The exhibition title uses a "□" instead of a specific word in the subject to offer the joy of embedding one's own definition.
This exhibition features a total of 11 artists (teams) who discuss the diverse relationships between "objects" and "humans" in modern society through 62 works including paintings, photographs, installations, and media art. The exhibition is composed of two sections.
