Call for Applications from Human Rights Organizations with Activity Grounds from 8th to 18th... Projects Supporting the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Groups such as Elderly, Disabled, Women, and Migrants Eligible
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is conducting a public contest for the '2021 Civil Society Human Rights Promotion Project.'
This contest is being promoted to spread human rights sensitivity in the local community and to strengthen the human rights capabilities of civil society organizations.
The target applicants are non-profit private organizations and non-profit corporations with offices or activity bases within Dongjak-gu. The contest fields include human rights promotion projects for socially vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, women, and migrants. Projects must be sustainable and capable of spreading residents' human rights sensitivity, not one-time events.
The application period is until the 18th of this month. Organizations wishing to apply should prepare submission documents including the application form, project plan, and organization introduction, and submit them in person or by mail (to 161 Jangseungbaegi-ro) or email (jhryu88@dongjak.go.kr) to the Audit Officer.
Submitted projects will be evaluated based on ▲appropriateness ▲impact ▲the organization's project execution capability, and after document screening and review, the final selection will be made in April.
For further details, inquiries can be made to the Audit Officer.
Last year, the 'Village Power Social Cooperative' was selected and, in response to the COVID-19 situation, promoted various non-face-to-face projects such as ▲human rights-related dramas, thematic lectures and public forums on songs ▲production of human rights promotion activity materials, contributing to the improvement and spread of proper human rights awareness.
Audit Officer Jaecheon Yoo stated, “Through this contest, we will promote various human rights projects with residents, such as human rights education and human rights exploration, to spread a culture of respect for human rights in the local community,” and added, “We ask for active participation and interest from human rights organizations with innovative ideas and passion.”
