[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University announced on the 5th that it held a signing ceremony with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Business Association in the Academic Affairs Committee Meeting Room and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster specialized personnel in the eco-friendly and autonomous driving fields and to strengthen industry-academia-research linked education.
Through this agreement, Honam University and the Gwangju Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Business Association agreed to jointly promote educational programs for nurturing specialized talent required in the eco-friendly and autonomous driving sectors in the industry, participation of experts in these fields in undergraduate education and industry-academia linked education, as well as employment-linked support programs such as field training and internships.
They also decided to operate a practical consultation system on a regular basis and to develop information and human exchanges and joint research, thereby establishing a substantial partnership for fostering specialized personnel in the eco-friendly and autonomous driving fields.
Park Young-man, Chairman of the Gwangju Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Business Association, said, “Regarding automobile production at the Hyundai Motor completed vehicle factory planned to be established in the Bitgreen National Industrial Complex in Gwangju, we will build a strong partnership with Honam University, a leading university in eco-friendly and autonomous driving, and focus on nurturing industry-tailored personnel in these fields, employment, mentoring projects, and fostering various learning and research bases.”
