Hwasun-gun Prepares 'Emergency Medical Care' Measures for Lunar New Year Holiday... Designates Medical Institutions Open

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 5th that it will prepare emergency medical measures from the Lunar New Year holiday, February 11 to 14, to respond to medical gaps and COVID-19.

The county plans to designate and operate three regional emergency medical institutions, four clinics, fourteen pharmacies, and the county health center as medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday period. This is a measure to prevent gaps in patient care and minimize inconvenience in medical treatment and drug purchases.

Focusing on regional emergency medical institutions ▲ Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital ▲ Hwasun Goryeo Hospital ▲ Hwasun Seongsim Hospital, a 24-hour emergency medical system will be maintained to respond promptly in case of emergency patients or mass casualties.

During late-night hours when it is difficult to visit medical institutions and pharmacies, 28 stores selling over-the-counter drugs (convenience stores) will provide access to over-the-counter medicines such as antipyretics, analgesics, and digestive aids.

A county official said, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the Lunar New Year holiday, please carefully observe whether you have fever or respiratory symptoms, and if you have suspicious symptoms, do not make your own judgment but immediately visit the nearest screening clinic first.”
