COVID-19 Testing Implemented for a Safe Seollal Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 5th that it will operate COVID-19 screening clinics on a regular basis as the social distancing level 2 has been extended until the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, the 14th.
The screening clinics will operate normally from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the Lunar New Year holiday from the 11th to the 14th, providing free tests through a drive-thru method.
In addition, as it is expected that many visitors will return to their hometowns, emergency duty will be carried out without any days off during the holiday to prevent the resurgence of infectious diseases.
A county official said, “As vaccination is imminent, we will do our best to prevent the spread of infectious diseases through thorough quarantine and preparation,” and added, “We ask the residents to strictly observe social distancing.”
