[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) received a donation of 91 million KRW from the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) on the 4th to support low-income residents.


The donation will be used to create hope packages for low-income residents through 10 comprehensive social welfare centers in the area. The hope packages will include COVID-19 prevention supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers.


District Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, “We deeply appreciate the National Disaster Relief Association for their continuous efforts to help neighbors struggling with disasters and calamities,” and added, “The donated funds will be used carefully to support low-income residents who are facing greater difficulties due to COVID-19 during the cold winter season.”


Meanwhile, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, a purely private relief organization, carries out various relief activities to assist victims of disasters and calamities. Recently, it has taken the lead in overcoming COVID-19 by providing daily necessities kits to vulnerable households and delivering support supplies to medical staff.
