On the 4th, it was announced that "The DB Group Korea Women's Open will take place over four days starting June 17 at Rainbow Hills Golf Course in Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk." After on-site inspections focusing on golf courses wishing to host the event, Rainbow Hills Golf Course was finally selected as the venue. The new battleground is a 27-hole public golf course operated by DB Group. From this year, DB Group has become the new sponsor of the Korea Women's Open, a prestigious national title tournament with a 35-year history.
The total prize money is planned to be set at a minimum of 1 billion KRW, befitting a top-level tournament. The DB Insurance Promy Open, the opening event of the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour sponsored by DB Group, will be held in the third week of April at Oak Valley Golf Course in Wonju, Gangwon-do. Since Chairman Kim Nam-ho's inauguration, DB Group has begun its second-generation management. Its main businesses include insurance, securities, banking, manufacturing, and services. The group also continues various sports sponsorships and social contribution activities steadily.
