Action Square to Participate in Steam Festival with Top-Down Shooting Action Game 'Anvil'... "Real-Time Interaction via Live Streaming"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Action Square announced on the 4th that it has confirmed participation in the Steam Festival for the console and PC platform shooting action game ‘ANVIL’ and will communicate with users in real-time through live streaming.

The new title ANVIL, currently being developed by Action Square, is a top-down shooting action game that supports real-time multiplayer and features a roguelike system where multiple players cooperate to progress through stages.

ANVIL has confirmed its participation in the Steam Game Festival and plans to hold a live streaming session on the 8th at 9 a.m. with game creator ‘GameNut’ MC, introducing gameplay and conducting Q&A, aiming to receive various feedback from users.

Previously, ANVIL released a user trial version through Steam, and as gameplay videos were revealed, user interest in the game’s flashy action and gameplay has continued. The trial version supports only single-player mode, and the demo play will be available during the February Steam Game Festival period.

Action Square plans to release ANVIL not only on next-generation Xbox but also as a cloud game through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, with a scheduled Steam release in August announced via the Steam store page.

Son Wonho, the PD in charge of ANVIL’s development, explained, “With participation in the Steam Festival and live streaming, we will reflect various feedback from users to present a high-quality shooting action game unique to ANVIL.”
