Public Big Data Youth Internship Experience Leading to Practical Employment
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 4th that it will hold the ‘Public Big Data Youth Internship JOB Festival’ online from the 5th to the 28th for young people who have built their capabilities while working as public big data youth interns.
This online job fair will involve about 500 graduates of the Public Big Data Youth Internship program who have specialized data analysis skills, and about 50 data-related companies recruiting personnel who can immediately work in the field.
The online job fair is characterized by providing integrated services from resume review to interviews.
When Public Big Data Youth Interns access the ‘Public Big Data Youth Internship JOB Festival,’ they can receive services such as ?online recruitment ?job preparation ?online interviews ?online job mentoring.
On the 5th, the opening day of the job fair, a real-time ‘Big Data Job Talk Show’ will be held to address young people’s questions about employment.
Employees and HR managers from data companies will participate, and a YouTube influencer related to jobs will host the ‘Big Data Job Talk Show’ to share employment experiences and hold a real-time Q&A session online with young people.
Additionally, outstanding young participants from the Public Big Data Youth Internship program conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will be selected, awarded, and their excellent achievements shared.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s Public Big Data Youth Internship project has been implemented since 2019 to provide young people aspiring to become data analysis experts with related specialized training courses and to place graduates in public institutions to support professional analysis tasks.
Youth can build their careers through practical experience opportunities, and public institutions can receive help with data analysis tasks, resulting in high satisfaction for both youth and public institutions.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to recruit 1,020 Public Big Data Youth Interns starting in April this year. Lee Jae-young, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, “How well data is handled will determine the country’s competitiveness and sustainable growth in the future, so I hope Big Data Youth Interns take pride and lead the data era,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to actively create demand for data processing and analysis and to improve the employment conditions for youth, which have become more difficult due to COVID-19, so that young people can gain more employment opportunities.”
