[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced on the 28th that it was finally selected for the ecological green tourism project chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
With this selection in the public contest project, the county plans to carry out the △ Boseong愛 MuldeulCha (Boseongae Muldeulda) program centered on the Boseong tea fields and the △ Parang愛 MuldeulCha (Parangae Muldeulda) program held at Yulpo Solbat Beach.
The △ Boseong愛 MuldeulCha program, which focuses on experiencing Boseong tea culture, is a tea field dining program where visitors can enjoy a picnic using tea-based beverages and desserts, and it consists of a walking tour program where participants walk through the tea fields while listening to the ecology and history of tea (茶).
The △ Parang愛 MuldeulCha (Parangae Muldeulda) program offers an emotional camping experience centered around Yulpo Beach, Myeonggyo Village, and Gunhak Village. Visitors can prepare and eat food themselves with camping sets prepared with tea-related dishes, enjoy reading at a bookstore set up on the beach, and also experience Nordic walking along the silver sandy beach.
A county official said, “We will operate this public contest project earnestly to ensure that the tourism experience program linking ecological tourism and gourmet experiences, which our county has devoted great effort to, can be well established,” and added, “We will also do our best to develop good travel programs that can create synergy with large-scale projects such as the Yulpo Marine Leisure Hub project.”
Meanwhile, according to the 2021 tourism trend analysis using big data (Korea Tourism Organization, 2020), Boseong-gun continued its growth in the tourism sector as card usage related to the travel industry increased by about 105% last year despite the COVID-19 situation.
