Temporary Closure of the Building and Comprehensive Inspection to Be Conducted by Around 12 PM Tomorrow
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] On the morning of the 28th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that a public official affiliated with a church in Gwangju Metropolitan City (Gwangju #1683) tested positive for COVID-19 at the Dong-gu Health Center in Gwangju.
Following the confirmed case among the staff, the county temporarily closed the Boseong County Office building on the same day and will conduct COVID-19 tests for all employees (about 400 people) working in the county office.
The temporary closure of the office building is expected to last until around 12 PM tomorrow, when the test results for all employees are expected to be available.
Boseong-gun is currently identifying the movements of the confirmed public official (Gwangju #1683) and classifying close contacts, and plans to instruct close contacts to self-quarantine for two weeks.
The confirmed employee belongs to the Marine Fisheries Department and worked from the afternoon of the 25th to the morning of the 27th, and it has been confirmed that they had lunch at the cafeteria on the 27th.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “I deeply regret having to inform you of the confirmed case of an affiliated public official, and we will do our best to prevent further infections through blocking and quarantine measures,” adding, “We will thoroughly investigate the details regarding the confirmed employee and take strict disciplinary action.”
Meanwhile, during the temporary closure of the office building, Boseong-gun plans to do its best to manage employees working from home using a remote work system to prevent any administrative work gaps.
