[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung Electronics stated during the 2020 Q4 earnings conference call held on the 28th that in response to concerns about the profitability of the premium segment due to the Galaxy S21 being launched at a lower price than its predecessor, “the Galaxy S21 series is a product that has improved its cost structure through consistent product optimization.”

They continued, “The Galaxy S21 series is a product that has undergone efficiency improvements across all processes including manufacturing and logistics,” adding, “We will enhance economies of scale by expanding volume through early launch effects and competitive pricing. Among the series, we will increase the proportion of high-end products to achieve good profitability.”
