[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 27th (local time) that it has been included in Bloomberg's '2021 Gender-Equality Index (BGEI)' for the third consecutive year.
The Gender-Equality Index is selected by Bloomberg based on an evaluation of five categories?female leadership and talent development, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, sexual harassment policies, and female-friendly branding?targeting companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges with a market capitalization of over 1 billion dollars.
This year's Gender-Equality Index includes a total of 380 companies from 44 countries, and Shinhan Financial was selected alongside leading global companies such as Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley.
Shinhan Financial was recognized for its achievements in annually expanding the scale of developing female managerial talent through the group's female leadership development program 'Shinhan SHeroes,' and for operating various programs such as mentoring, themed lectures, and conferences for career development.
